In 2016, SICO opened for public subscription the USD 50 million Eskan Bank REIT, the first of its kind listed on the Bahrain Bourse. The Shariah-compliant Eskan Bank REIT invests in properties in Bahrain, with REIT’s higher-than-average returns highlighting the trust’s potential for delivering attractive yields to investors through an alternative asset class with built-in regulatory safeguards.

SICO US Real Estate Fund

The real estate business’s first foray into the international market came in 2017 with the launch of a private, US-focused, USD 55 million real estate income-generating fund. SICO will invest in residential apartment buildings across the US, seeking a diversified asset-class and a high-quality tenant pool capable of generating sustainable returns to investors.
